Someone said to me today:
"I have a couple of things I have to tell you. They're very important.
First of all, I have no memory anymore. I can't remember a damn thing. So I'm either going to drop dead or end up in a facility somewhere."
Me: "Uh huh."
Other Person: "I am. I'm not going to live long."
Me: "Uh huh. You've been saying that for 20 years."
Other Person: "I have not.
The other thing is..."
pause ... pause ... pause ...
"... the other thing is ..."
wait for it ...
"... I can't remember the other thing."
